Meet the Salmons

Jed and Lindsey Salmon have lived in our ward for almost three years now.  The met when they were seniors in high school.  They have been married for five years.  Something you might not know is that they were married in the Georgia Temple.  They love spending time together.  Some of their favorite things to do are boating, snowmobiling, going to their family cabin and going to the ranch.  Jed is a steak and potatoes kind of guy.  They love ice cream and Nielsons frozen custard is top on their list.  They are having so much fun being parents to their sweet little guy Jonah.  He is three months old. Jed is in his last semester at weber and Lindsey got her bachelors in exercise sports science at the U.   Lindsey teaches dance and loves it.  She plays on a volleyball team with her sister in law and cousins and they rock it.  We have loved having their family in our ward.

Missionary Week

Alma 53:20&21
20. They were all young men, and they were exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strength and activity; but behold , this was not all- they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted.
21. Yea, they were men of truth and soberness, for they had been taught to keep the commandments of God and to walk uprightly before him.

The Youth and Leaders had so much fun this year doing missionary week.

Tristina Bown

Tristina is our ward temple coordinator.  She loves that it is her obligation to get us to the temple.  She team teaches a class on family history and the temple with Brother Anderson.  Tris is always willing to help.  Whatever she is asked to do she puts her whole heart and really devotes her time to it.

Tristina met bill on the front lawn of the house they live in now.  Bill was laying sod, and saw she was a good mormon girl and asked her out.  They both canceled dates so they could be with each other and have been together ever since.

Tris, loves her grandkids, family, animals and the outdoors.  She also love homemade apple wheat pancakes with peanut butter.  She just got back from a vacation with her entire family.  She said "it was great to have all the kids and grandkids together."  They went to Florida and spent time at the beach and Sea World.  People say she is the dog whisperer.  Bill says "she has the gift of gab."
Something you might not know about Tristina is that she used to model and owned a modeling agency for 15-20 years.  They would do fashion shows at malls and all over.
I hope we can all learn from Tristina and put our whole hearts into helping each other.  I challenge all of us to try a little harder to make it to the temple and do our family history.
